 WHAT IS MOM-n-PA?               

MOM-n-PA  is an annual two-day free dental clinic for underserved Pennsylvanians in which dental treatment is provided at NO COST to individuals who cannot afford dental care.     

Treatment is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. It is expected that several hundred individuals will be attending this year's event, so please come early! Patients do not pre-register.

All services are provided free of charge by a host of dedicated volunteers.

THANK YOU to all of our volunteers that made our 2018 READING mission such a big success!     Together, we donated over $950,000 worth of dental services to the underserved!!

Set up: Thursday June 6th, 2019

Clinic Days: Friday June 7th & Saturday June 8th, 2019 

Breakdown of Clinic: End of Day Saturday June 8th, 2019 (Volunteers always needed) 

 Q: What else should I know?

• Come early! Patients will be lining up starting Thursday evening.
• No appointments will be taken or are necessary.
• Patients are seen on a first come - first serve basis.
• The number of patients seen will be limited to up to 1,000 patients per day. Once the total number of patients we can see each day have been registered, no additional patients can be seen.  Please be prepared to wait several hours for service.

OUR MISSION ~ TO TREAT THE UNTREATED  

MOM-n-PA provides dental care for the relief of pain to thousands of the most needy, many of whom are from working families who do not have access or cannot afford dental insurance.

Many of these patients might otherwise have no hope of receiving care.

WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE 

Our inaugural two-day mission took place in Philadelphia in 2013.  With the help of 1,001 volunteers, MOM-n-PA provided $850,000 in free dental care to 1,820 patients.

Our second mission took place in Allentown where we provided care to 2,047 patients and our 1,020 volunteers donated $1,004,179 worth of care to those in need.

Our 2015 mission took place in Harrisburg where 976 volunteers provided $875,905 worth of care to 1,705 patients.

Our 2016 mission took place in Pittsburgh, 1,008 volunteers and our sponsors provided over $841,959 worth of dental care to the underserved!!

In our 2017 mission in Erie, we had 736 underserved patient visits and donated $600,798 worth of dental care!

We had over 1900 patient visits during our 2018 mission in Reading and we provided over $950,000 of dental care.  Thank you to the 927 volunteers that served those in need!

As of today, MOM-n-PA has completed over 30,000 procedures on 9,159 patients.  The total value of dental care donated is $5,123,491 and we have had 4,932 volunteers.

Making a Difference

Dr. Lew Lampiris described his experience as a volunteer as "transformational" and went on to say, "Here we were, standing side by side, working together and doing what we've been trained to do, provide necessary dental care to those in greatest need."  

How You Can Help

Though all dentists and support personnel are volunteers who donate their time, there are still thousands of dollars of expenses involved in operating these free dental missions. These include dental equipment and maintenance, dental supplies, food, water, and t-shirts for volunteers, as well as food and water for patients waiting in line, and numerous other miscellaneous expenses. Though we have several generous corporate sponsors, we gladly accept (and need) donations of any amount!
